How the Wireless
Fence works...
The Stay & Play Wireless Fence is
a revolutionary new concept that provides the safest, simplest form of pet containment
ever. Plug in the transmitter some where inconspicuously in your home. The transmitter
emits a safe radio signal around your home. Your pet wears a lightweight receiver collar
which "listens" for the signal. While the collar is receiving the signal, your
dog is free to run and play in your yard. When he approaches the boundary of the signal
area, he receives a warning beep. If your dog does not return, he receives a static
correction which is startling but not harmful. With a little simple training, your dog
will quickly learn his boundaries.

The wireless border created by the transmitter results in a
circular boundary around your yard that can be easily adjusted up to 3/4 of an acre (210
feet across). After you have your wireless boundary set up, the next phase is to
place the receiver collar included with the system around your dog's neck. As your dog
roams freely within your yard, the collar will acquire the signal from the transmitter.
Each time your dog nears the wireless perimeter, an alert tone is going to be emitted by
the collar. If your dog continues in the direction of the off-limit boundaries, he will
receive an instant but safe static correction.
It is simple to expand the containment area with the purchase
of additional transmitters by overlapping the boundaries. You can use another Wireless
Transmitter with overlapping boundaries of at least 5-10 feet to increase the size of the
Pet Area.
The wireless dog collar included with the Stay & Play
Wireless Pet Fence is designed for dogs weighing over 5 pounds with neck sizes of 6 to 23
inches. It features 6 levels of static correction, to help you easily adjust the
correction level for your dog's personality. You may also set your collar to "tone
only" for training or if you think maybe that is all your dog requires as a
deterrent. The collar comes with a rechargeable battery and a handy 2-hour recharging
unit.
Add-A-Pet: If you have multiple dogs, additional receiver
collars can be purchased. A limitless number of pets can be added to the fence as long as
they are wearing a PetSafe Stay & Play
Wireless Fence receiver collar. Compatible collars are the PIF00-12918, PIF-275-19 and
IF-275.
Training your dog is quick and easy, just follow the
training instructions included with your Wireless Fence. Once you have adjusted the signal
to the perimeter you want, mark the boundary by placing the training flags at the edge of
the signal. Every Instant Fence comes with the transmitter, one receiver, 50 boundary
flags for training your pet and a manual that explains installation and training. You can
contain an unlimited number of pets on Wireless Fence by purchasing additional receivers.
We do not recommended
this system for dogs smaller than 10lbs. In addition, we do not
recommend the Wireless Fence for dogs that are
extra stubborn or very hard to train. The receiver may not have a strong enough

Built-In Safety Features include :
Protection vs false
signals. Only our transmitter can activate the receiver. Other brands' receivers
can be activated by Televisions, cordless phones, garage door openers, etc. We use filters
and coded signals to prevent this. Don't trust your pet's safety to anything but a
PetSafe™ Containment System
Receiver Fail-Safe. If
your pet leaves the correction zone, the receiver will shut down after 25 seconds to
prevent over correction

Common Misconceptions and FAQ's :
What's the difference between the
Stay & Play vs the old Wireless Fence?
The new Stay & Play offers more
coverage area of 5-105 ft radius vs 15-90ft on the older unit (PIF-300). It also has
a 20% smaller, lighter collar receiver which is both waterproof and rechargeable, making
it green. Finally, the indoor transmitter is 67% smaller than the PIF-300 and less
obtrusive in the home. Make no mistake, they are both excellent systems just with
different options.
Does
the WiFi Wireless Fence require a computer or internet service ?
NO. The WiFi or
Wireless Fence is a self contained dog fencing system that requires no computer or outside
internet services. The Wireless Fence utilizes a WiFi-like radio signal and operates
completely independently of your computer, WiFi router or other computer or hand held
devices.
Will
the WiFi Wireless Fence interfere with my home's wireless computer router ?
NO. Most wireless
routers operate on a 2.4GHz radio frequency, however they are utilizing a different signal
protocol - 802.11. The WiFi Wireless Fence utilizes a very low WiFi-like radio signal at
17.5 kHz and operates completely independently of computer router or other WiFi or hand
held devices.
If the power goes out, will the WiFi
Wireless Fence continue to correct my dog ?
NO. The WiFi Wireless
Fence unit has a built-in safety feature that detects the loss of power and will trigger
an automatic shut off as a fail-safe.

The new PetSafe Stay + Play Wireless Dog Fence Receiver
Collar can be used to add additional dogs to your current fence system or to replace an
old wireless fence collar. It is fully compatible with the PetSafe PIF00-12918 Stay + Play Fence and the PetSafe PIF-300 Instant Fence transmitters. The collar is designed for dogs weighing over 5 pounds with neck sizes from 6
to 23 inches. The collar is completely waterproof and is equipped with a rechargeable
battery that can be fully recharged in 2-3 hours.
There is no limit to the amount of dogs you can contain so
long as each dog is wearing a Stay & Play receiver collar around their neck. Just like
the original collar included with your wireless dog fence system, this additional receiver

Double the Area of your Stay & Play Wireless Fence
On the regular Wireless Fence, the signal field can be adjusted anywhere from 10 to 205 ft
diameter from the central transmitter. The shape of the signal field or "Safe
Zone" is in a perfect circle and the shape cannot be changed.
If you need or would like to have a larger area for your dog to roam free you can
Double the Area of the Wireless Fence by using two transmitters. This will
create two intersecting circles, 2 transmitters would create a boundary in a shape similar
to the MasterCard™ logo (as shown in the above diagram). The signal is
cancelled where the circles intersect, allowing the pet access to and through the entire
area. The 2 transmitters can be located up to a maximum of 150 feet apart and each
transmitter must be out of the weather, they cannot get wet. By adding the 2nd
transmitter you would create a boundary that can be up to 180 feet wide and up to
410 feet long or twice the area of the regular Instant Fence. Please note: Both transmitters will require an
indoor 110-volt power supply.
