The PetSafe Electronic Smart Door recognizes the collar "SmartKey" on your dog and unlocks to allow your dog access. The sensing range is adjustable up to 3 feet. After your dog passes through, the door will relock again automatically. Animals without the SmartKey are not able to enter. You may have a total of 5 SmartKeys in use at one time.

The PetSafe SmartDoor allows you to control the access of your pets. When the SmartDoor is set to Automatic mode, only your pets wearing the SmartKey can pass through the SmartDoor. As your dog enters the adjustable range of the SmartDoor, the SmartDoor detects the SmartKey and unlocks automatically. The range is adjustable up to 3 feet. After your dog passes through the Smart Door, the door will lock automatically. Without the SmartKey, no other animals can pass through.

Electronic SmartDoor is available in Small and Large sizes and fits standard doors from 1.5" to 2" thick. Door accommodates up to five pets (additional SmartKey sold separately), so dog owners can program up to 5 dog/cat collar key codes into the door.
There are 250 different door codes, ensuring your door's individuality from neighboring doors.
Battery powered - requires 4 D-Cell batteries (not included) - freeing the home of unwanted cords.
Tapered flap creates tight weather seal. 2 layer Polycarbonate flap for increased insulation and durability.
Pets' SmartKey (included) conveniently fits on pet's everyday collar and only weighs .64 ounces.
